As the Sales Manager for Corporate Accounts at Crunchbase, you will lead a team of high-performing Account Executives responsible for driving net new sales revenue. Your role is to guide the team in developing and executing sales and account strategies, prospecting and closing deals, and growing relationships with key stakeholders and executves. You will coach and develop sales talent, provide insights into market trends, and collaborate across departments to ensure consistent customer success and growth. This is a hands-on leadership role for a data-savvy, metrics-driven, and collaborative manager who thrives on developing people and optimizing sales outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Coaching:
- Manage, coach, and support a team of Corporate AEs to meet and exceed their individual and team sales goals.
- Provide regular 1:1s, deal reviews, and performance feedback focused on skill development, strategy refinement, and professional growth.
- Build a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and resilience within the team.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Guide team members in building and executing outbound sales and prospecting strategies aligned with Crunchbase’s Predictions & Insights product line.
- Monitor team pipeline metrics to ensure 2.5x coverage of quota; provide strategies for pipeline growth and conversion optimization.
- Support AEs in complex negotiations, enterprise opportunities, and cross-functional deal collaboration.
Revenue Growth and Forecasting:
- Own forecasting accuracy and reporting for your team’s quota attainment.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to set goals, track performance, and analyze trends.
- Partner with the Revenue Operations team to monitor sales performance KPIs.
Cross-functional Partnership:
Collaborate with Customer Success to align on expansion and renewal strategies.
Partner with Solution Engineering, SDRs, and Product Marketing to ensure effective GTM execution and account engagement.
Champion feedback flows with Product and Engineering to share feedback and influence roadmap priorities.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Team Oversight: Directly supervise a team to oversee their day-to-day activities and ensure alignment with company goals and standards.
- Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, and provide constructive feedback to foster professional development and high-quality work.
- Hiring and Training: Play an active role in hiring new team members as needed. Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Conflict Resolution: Act as a mediator in resolving any interpersonal or professional conflicts within the team, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including managing work schedules, balancing workloads, and ensuring the team has the necessary tools and information to perform their roles efficiently.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated success in leading B2B SaaS sales teams, preferably in data/API-driven environments.
- Deep understanding of data sales cycles, monetization strategies, and licensing considerations.
- Proven track record of leading quota-carrying teams that consistently exceed goals.
- Experience negotiating and navigating contracts and legal discussions.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Google Office Suite and other software tools.
Education and Experience:
2+ years of experience directly leading and scaling sales teams at a SaaS company. 5+ years of experience in SaaS sales preferred. Experience selling data or API-based products to corporate or enterprise customers. Background in managing cross-functional collaboration and executive engagement in complex sales cycles. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.

Salary Range
$260,423—$306,380 USD
