Job description
About alcemy
alcemy was founded to tackle the massive carbon footprint of the cement and concrete industry. Concrete is the second most used material in the world by volume and is responsible for 9% of global CO₂ emissions.
With alcemy, we’re here to change that.
Our intelligent production control software enables cement and concrete to be produced with the precision needed for the sustainable products of the future. Our software is used 24⁄7 in cement and concrete plants to optimize production and significantly reduce CO₂ emissions - starting today.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage the entire sales cycle for both existing and new customers — from first contact to contract signing and beyond.
- Drive sales of our SaaS solutions in the cement and concrete industry across the DACH region as well as in growth markets like Europe, LATAM, and the USA.
- Analyze customer needs and technical readiness to develop tailored, value-driven solutions.
- Build compelling business cases that highlight the value of our offering, considering various levers and impact scenarios.
- Prepare and deliver impactful presentations and web app demos, while confidently negotiating contracts with stakeholders across all decision-making levels.
- Monitor market and competitor developments to identify new opportunities and help refine our sales strategy.
- Represent alcemy at relevant industry conferences and associations to expand our network and strengthen our market visibility.
- Work closely with the Business Development team to generate leads and align on marketing campaigns.
- Support the Customer Success team in maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers.
- Collaborate with the Product team by providing structured feedback on customer needs and helping to prioritize feature development.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all sales activities and maintain up-to-date records in our CRM system.
Your Profile
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills combined with excellent negotiation abilities.
- A university degree with outstanding results, ideally paired with professional experience in the cement or concrete industry.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in B2B sales and a solid technical understanding of industrial processes.
- Proven track record in acquiring new customers and successfully growing existing accounts.
- A self-driven and reliable mindset, combined with ambition, creativity, and empathy.
- Authentic presence, strong communication style, and high personal integrity.
- Skilled at prioritizing tasks and staying resilient in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel and fluency in both German and English.
What we offer:
- A company culture built on honesty, professionalism, and integrity — with open feedback, regular 1:1s, and a strong commitment to personal growth.
- Flat hierarchies, fast decision-making, and an agile company structure.
- A competitive salary based on your experience.
- VSOP equity options with 4-year vesting (based on a 40-hour full-time role).
- A fully equipped, attractive workspace in Berlin.
- Of course: free drinks, fruit, and snacks at the office.
- Team events and offsites several times a year.
- Your choice of Mac or Linux laptop.
- A personal and professional development budget of €1,500 per year plus 3 days per quarter.
- English as our primary language of communication.
- 28 vacation days per year, plus one additional day for every 2 years of employment at alcemy.
- Access to nilo.health – a holistic mental wellbeing platform offering 1:1 sessions with psychologists, group formats, and self-guided tools.
- A dog-friendly office with clear rules and dog-free zones, ensuring everyone feels comfortable.
- Regular knowledge sharing through our internal Masterclasses.
- Work fully remote within Germany or from our office in the heart of Berlin, with flexible working hours. We offer an employment contract with Berlin as the official location and a remote clause — so Berlin public holidays apply.
Work at alcemy
- We place great value on transparency and direct feedback, and we’re always open to ideas on how to improve the way we work together.
- Our developers take full ownership of their features — from implementation and testing to code reviews and deployment.
- There’s no on-call duty.
- We’re actively building a structured career development framework that supports both technical expert and leadership paths.
- We’re passionate about helping our customers and committed to fostering a supportive and respectful team environment.
Hiring process
- Initial 1:1 Intro Call (30 minutes)
- Team Interview (45 minutes)
- Take-Home Assignment – a practical task closely aligned with your future role
- Technical Interview (90 minutes)
- Reference Check – we’ll contact two references of your choice (e.g., former colleagues)
- Final Decision
We strongly encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply. We also understand that interviews can be stressful. If there’s anything we can do to make the process more comfortable or help you show your strengths in the best possible way, please let us know.
