Requirements
- Strong track record in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within a fast-paced startup or biotech environment
- Proven track record of managing and scaling engineering teams, with strong leadership and mentorship skills
- Expertise in developing complex B2B software and services in an agile environment, with proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++
- Deep knowledge of cloud technologies (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS) and experience with modern software development tools (Jira, Confluence, GitHub/GitLab)
- Strong experience with AI/ML techniques, data engineering, and knowledge graph development, including tools like Neo4j
- Ability to drive innovation by staying ahead of trends in bioinformatics, AI, and data science
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proven ability to balance short-term goals with long-term vision
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to leadership, with a focus on fostering a dynamic and inclusive engineering culture

- Set and execute the engineering strategy, aligning it with Mycolever’s overall mission and business objectives
- Lead the development and enhancement of our cloud-based biocompound discovery platform, integrating cutting-edge AI and machine learning techniques
- Build and manage a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biologists, chemists, and data scientists, to ensure that engineering efforts are aligned with scientific discoveries and customer needs
- Implement best practices in software development, data management, and security, ensuring scalability, reliability, and user-friendliness of the platform
- Drive the integration of multi-omics data and deep learning techniques to expand our understanding of fungal chemistry and accelerate discovery
