Summary
The job is for a Senior Software Engineer in Found's Risk Engineering team. The role involves minimizing risk losses and fraudulent use of Found while maintaining operational efficiency. The work directly impacts how Found makes and saves money.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with backend and frontend frameworks and technologies
- 2+ years of experience with data systems or machine learning
- Advocated for and rolled out new technologies / open-source frameworks that empowered prior engineering organizations
- Experience with relational databases and working with large-scale databases
- A passion for writing clean, simple, and self-documenting code
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product engineering, risk operations, or other cross-functional teams to build and ship products
- Have ownership across a large breadth of surfaces - frontend systems, batch and stream data processing pipelines, and backend services
- Build, maintain, and iterate on code quickly and safely
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to the direction of the team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or interest in financial services, accounting, and/or self-employment
- Experience as a manager, tech lead, or an architect
- Experience driving initiatives across an organization or a company
- Experience building fault-tolerant systems
- Experience working on a financial risk team
- Experience working with Data Scientists
- Comfortable running your own data analysis in SQL / R / Python
