What will you do in this role?
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the resilience, security, and high availability of on-premise Kubernetes clusters and the products that run on them. This includes deploying, maintaining, and automating production-grade systems, with a strong emphasis on reliability and operational excellence.
Daily tasks will include:
- Installing, configuring, and administering Kubernetes clusters in customer environments
- Automating service deployments with a GitOps mindset
- Collaborating with software and platform teams to ensure successful integration and delivery
- Participating in the design, implementation, and lifecycle maintenance of ICEYE’s on-premise product stack
- Responding to incidents and ensuring system SLAs are met
- Leading demos, pilots, and technical interactions with customer teams
You will be one of the first to take on this role at ICEYE, with the opportunity to shape processes and influence how we deploy and manage our ground-side systems.
- Proven experience in maintaining and administering production-grade Kubernetes clusters
- Strong understanding of Linux system administration
- Proficiency in Python or Go and ability to debug code
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps automation practices
- Familiarity with orchestration tools like Terraform, Packer, or Ansible
- Understanding of microservices and cloud-native architecture patterns
- Emphasis on security best practices
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
In addition to the above, it will be beneficial if you have the following:
Kubernetes certifications
Experience with service mesh (e.g., Istio)
Familiarity with the LGMT Monitoring stack
Background in Earth Observation, satellite, or ground station systems
Quality assurance or software lifecycle knowledge
