POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies complex software enhancements and/or new, innovative products.
- Leverages new technologies and uses current programming languages.
- Touches code at every level, from the UI, to servlets and backend services, down to the database.
- Leads complex, multi-engineer projects from concept to implementation.
- Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
- Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel.
May telecommute up to 95%. Domestic travel may be required up to 5%.
Requirements :
Employer will accept a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field followed by 4 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Senior Software Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires 48 months of experience in the following:
- Writing high-quality, scalable front-end software solutions.
- Defining and refining technical specifications by coordinating cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and other engineers.
- Practicing, upholding, and promoting high quality and reliable code standards, respecting clean code principles, and implementing unit and integration tests.
- Providing accurate and clear technical feedback on others’ designs and code reviews to ensure the scalability, maintainability, and robustness a long-lived technical ecosystem.
- Debugging and resolving complex issues in front-end code and adjacent back-end microservices.
- Mentoring and coaching other software engineers on how to write effective high-quality code in a technical ecosystem.
May telecommute up to 95%. Domestic travel may be required up to 5%.
