What You’ll Do:

We’re looking for a forward-thinking, execution-obsessed SVP of Technology to lead our Web Engineering, Data Engineering, and Information Technology functions. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer this role will set and scale BRUNT’s end-to-end technology strategy during a period of aggressive growth and innovation.

How You’ll Do It:

Technology Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define BRUNT’s long-term technology vision, roadmap and architecture

  • Align technology initiatives with business OKRs and the digital product roadmap

  • Drive decisions on internal systems vs. third-party tools with an eye toward scalability and cost efficiency.

  • Serve as the executive-level voice for technology across the organization and to our board.

Web Engineering

  • Lead our engineering function to deliver high-performance, secure, and scalable ecommerce and B2B platforms (frontend, backend and development operations)

  • Champion agile practices, rapid iteration, and a culture of clean, well-documented code.

  • Ensure uptime, monitoring, and disaster recovery protocols

  • Own cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS) and platform reliability

  • Integrate with third-party tools (Shopify, Klaviyo, Stripe, etc.).

  • Foster tight alignment between engineering, product, customer experience, and operations to ensure seamless end-user experiences.

Data Engineering

  • Build and mature a modern data infrastructure that fuels cross-functional insights from inventory planning to performance marketing. Lead data architecture, data warehousing, and governance, with strong consideration for moving to a data lake infrastructure that allows stakeholders across the organization to access organized and accurate data that supports key business decisions.

  • Leverage expertise in data modeling and data science to guide the development of scalable data architecture and enable advanced analytics, AI/ML initiatives, and data-driven decision making across the organization.

IT, Security & Compliance

  • Oversee our IT infrastructure strategy, ensuring secure, reliable systems that support in-office and remote work.

  • Maintain high standards for cybersecurity, business continuity, and compliance with relevant regulations (SOC 2, GDPR).

  • Establish internal Service Level Agreements and processes for employee IT support and access management.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Build, lead, and retain a high-performing team of technologists who thrive in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment.

  • Mentor engineering and data leaders; instill accountability, clarity, and a sense of mission across the tech org.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 15+ years of progressive tech leadership, ideally including experience as CTO, SVP, or similar at a high-growth B2C, DTC, or retail brand.

  • Strong background in eCommerce, retail systems, and enterprise-scale infrastructure. Demonstrated experience in Shopify Plus and NetSuite is required.

  • Proven experience owning end-to-end data architecture and enabling actionable business intelligence in the following environments: Snowflake, SQL, Python and dbt.

  • Exceptional people leadership skills, with a track record of building inclusive and high-output engineering teams.

  • Comfort operating at both strategic and tactical levels you know when to delegate, and when to roll up your sleeves.
