Salary: $120,000 - $135,000

Scope of Work:

Capio Group is looking for an experienced and qualified Software Engineer/Data Integration to augment and support current client staff in the implementation and Maintenance & Operations (M&O) of the Continuum-EHR (Electronic Health Record) solution. This role involves providing critical IT services while ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality standards and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

The Software Engineer/Data Integration will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:

  • Prepare and deliver written Monthly Status Reports (MSR). MSRs will include the following information, but not limited to:

    • The background, scope, and purpose of services,
    • A summary of the work completed during the reporting period, showing actual vs. planned.
    • Highlighted tasks that are work in progress, behind schedule, adopted remediation plans, and overall impact on the project.
    • The status of the overall engagement and all phases/ projects, including discussion of risks, problems encountered, solutions, and proposed solutions.
    • The tasks expected to be completed in the next reporting period.

    Ad hoc reporting as required.

  • Present and deliver written and verbal weekly/regular status reports that include an

    • Overview of upcoming activities,
    • Schedule,
    • Findings and
    • Corrective action planning.
  • Data Migration Solutions

    • Under the collaborative guidance of client leadership and the core architects, collaboratively plan, develop, and implement Data migration solutions for moving Data from an on-premises environment to a public cloud environment.

    Mulesoft Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) / Anypoint Message Queuing (MQ)

    Under the collaborative guidance of client leadership and the core architects, collaboratively plan, develop, and implement public cloud Electronic Health Record (EHR) to legacy systems Data, including but not limited to patient and pharmacy Data, near real-time integrations and public cloud EHR and / or legacy systems Data, including but not limited to patient and pharmacy Data, near real-time integrations with on-premises /private cloud and public cloud Data Lake(s), Lake House(s), Mart(s), and Warehouse(s) using Mulesoft ESB / Anypoint MQ, and train client staff to do the same.

  • Structured Query Language (SQL) Data Pipelines / Java Database Connection (JDBC)

    • Under the collaborative guidance of client leadership and the core architects, collaboratively plan, develop, and implement public cloud Electronic Health Record (EHR) and legacy systems Data, including but not limited to patient and pharmacy Data, batch Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) integrations and public cloud EHR and / or legacy systems Data, including but not limited to patient and pharmacy Data, batch ETL integrations with on-premises / private cloud and public cloud Data Lake(s), Lake House(s), Mart(s), and Warehouse(s).
  • Data Analytics and Science

    • Under the collaborative guidance of client leadership and the core architects collaboratively co-develop and implement, with the client Research, Evaluation, and Data Insights (REDI) team, best practices analytics and report authoring techniques using common data science tools, e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Python notebooks, Scala, SAS, and R.
  • Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)

    • Under the collaborative guidance of client leadership and the core architects collaboratively plan, design, implement, and train client staff to utilize APIs and best practices pertaining thereto to create inter-application Data integrations.
  • Knowledge Transfer

    • Prepare and deliver all documents and artifacts required for client staff to perform Agile Methodology, including Scrum, automated software unit and regression testing, Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery/Deployment, application and integration software enterprise architecture, on-premises / private cloud to public cloud application migrations, application containerization and ongoing operations on Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) platforms and customizations, on-premises / private cloud and public cloud application alerting, observability, and monitoring, creating and modifying existing REST and other APIs / software interfaces used to expose medical and other Data, near real- time (using Mulesoft ESB / Anypoint MQ) and batch ETL Data integrations using SQL pipelines and / or JDBC, the appropriate use and implementation of NoSQL technologies, Data analytics and science, e.g., notebook and report authoring best practices, configuration and limited customization of full-stack Web applications, software architecture principles and best practices, and application and Data privacy and security best practices pertaining to PII, PHI, and CJI. The artifacts should include the following:
      • Knowledge Transfer Plan
      • Training Materials for client trainers and Staff
      • Facilitated “show and tell” Sessions
      • Voiceover video walkthroughs
      • Hands-on collaboration sessions
      • Peer reviews
      • Advisory support
  • Develop and submit a Final Report. The report shall detail Contract activities, accomplishments, a budget summary, lessons learned, and suggestions for improvement.

Mandatory Experience:

  1. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming.
  2. Within the last ten (10) years, at least three (3) years of electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming experience must have been in a lead capacity.
  3. Possession of a bachelor’s degree in an IT- related or Engineering field. A copy of the degree must be provided upon request. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  4. Must possess an achieved Salesforce Certified MuleSoft Developer I certification*. A copy of the certification must be provided upon request. *Need not be current (expired certification is acceptable).
  5. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of three (3) years hands-on, operational experience with one or any combination of Structured Query Language (SQL) query optimization in Microsoft T-SQLor Oracle PL/SQL.
  6. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of two (2) years’ hands-on, operational experience utilizing Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) and creating safe error handling techniques in software around it.
  7. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of two (2) years’ hands-on, operational experience working with one or any combination of real Patient or Pharmacy Data.
  8. Must be able to provide a minimum of two (2) end client references (manager/supervisor level) from previous engagements performed within the last ten (10) years, providing services that are similar in nature and scope, and type of service.

Desirable Experience:

  1. Within the last ten (10) years, a minimum of three (3) years of hands-on, operational experience with Data integration toolsets and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
  2. Within the last ten (10) years, a minimum of three (3) years of hands-on, operational experience with one or any combination(s) of the following:

• Data Lake

• Data Lakehouse

• Data Mart

• Data Warehouse

  1. Within the last ten (10) years, a minimum of two (2) years of hands-on operational experience with one or any combination(s) of the following:

• Microsoft PowerBI

• Tableau

• Python notebooks

• Scala

• R

• Statistical Analysis System (SAS)

  1. Within the last ten (10) years, a minimum of two (2) years of hands-on, operational experience in public cloud based EHR integration with legacy, on-premises or private cloud applications.
  2. Within the last ten (10) years, a minimum of two (2) years of hands-on, operational experience customizing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
