Job Description
REQUIREMENTS:
- Total experience 7+ years.
- Solid understanding of contract law, commercial transactions, and privacy laws (including GDPR).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Review and redline legal documents including RFPs, MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, and other commercial agreements.
- Hands on working experience in a global IT/technology organization.
- Provide legal support in contracting processes with customers, vendors, and partners.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, especially data protection and privacy laws (e.g., GDPR).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate legal negotiations and ensure business objectives are met while minimizing risk.
- Support customer negotiations and advise internal teams on legal risks and contractual terms.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, laws, and regulatory changes.
- Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively across teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify legal and contractual risks and provide mitigation strategies while supporting business objectives.
- Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations, particularly GDPR and other global data privacy laws.
- Work closely with internal business units such as sales, procurement, finance, and IT to support contract negotiations and ensure alignment with company policies.
- Participate in and support legal negotiations with clients, partners, and vendors to finalize agreements efficiently and favourably.
- Provide timely and practical legal advice on various commercial and contractual matters to internal teams.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of contract templates, legal processes, and risk management frameworks.
- Maintain organized records of contracts, amendments, and related correspondence in accordance with company policy.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments in contract law and data privacy to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive.
- Support knowledge sharing and training sessions for internal teams on legal best practices and contractual obligations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Law.
