As the Student Lifecycle Marketing Contractor, you will play a pivotal role in driving student leads, fostering engagement, and nurturing prospective and admitted students throughout their journey. You will develop and execute marketing campaigns that leverage email, SMS, Slack, and other student-facing channels to ensure that college students recognize CodePath as the leading organization for technical excellence, mentorship, community, and industry access.

Who You Are

You are an experienced marketer who is passionate about CodePath’s mission. Key Activities

Campaign Strategy and Execution

  • Create and execute marketing campaigns that drive student acquisition, retention, and engagement for CodePath’s no-cost computer science courses and early career programs

  • Develop marketing toolkits and outreach assets (e.g. email templates, social graphics, slide decks, and talking points) for partners, outreach managers, and campus ambassadors to support localized recruitment and drive enrollment

  • Manage audience segmentation, targeting strategies, campaign logic, and digital deployment to ensure personalized communication

Marketing Ops

  • Collaborate with a team of admissions logistics contractors to ensure smooth execution and optimization of recruitment funnel and admissions campaigns

  • Create and manage marketing automation. Manage the student communications calendar, overseeing nurture and trigger streams

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the Student & University Marketing team to mobilize CodePath’s network of brand ambassadors, student clubs, and university partners to build student communities, facilitate courses on campus, and drive student enrollment

Analytics and Optimization

  • Analyze marketing performance metrics and generate reports. Use response data and test results to optimize marketing programs for improved effectiveness. Forecast, track, and report on campaign effectiveness and KPI impact. Continually seek out new opportunities to move the needle against primary KPIs

  • Analyze the size, value, cost, and attribution of leads from different sources to inform marketing strategies and ensure accuracy of the student database

  • Use customer insights to create new audiences based on data

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in B2C lifecycle marketing, email marketing, and/or marketing operations, preferably in EdTech or related fields

  • Strong experience leveraging marketing automation to make a meaningful impact on team effectiveness. Deep Hubspot experience

  • Proven track record of developing and executing integrated B2C marketing campaigns

  • Strong analytical and data skills with the ability to craft robust A/B tests and provide deep insights

  • Familiarity with marketing tech stack tools and a natural curiosity for emerging tools and technologies to improve marketing performance

  • Experience working effectively in a fast-paced environment. CodePath operates more as a tech startup than a traditional nonprofit

  • Focused attention to detail and ability to multitask, handling multiple complete, multi-phase projects at different stages

Nice to haves:

  • Technical proficiency or domain expertise in student and campus marketing is a plus

  • Start-up or high growth company experience
