Job Summary

The System Administrator (Internal IT) is responsible for the company’s internal server, storage, network, and O365

administration. You are expected to work closely with vendors to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation

of the infrastructure. Additionally, the Senior System Administrator will be responsible for core infrastructure

implementation and administration using industry best practices.

Reporting Structure

• This job reports to the senior System Administrator (Internal IT)

Job Objectives

• Ensure 100% that systems are always up & running, with minimal downtime

• Provide immediate solutions and effective problem management and maintenance

• Helping, Planning, and implementing contingency and risk aversion tools and techniques

Job Responsibilities

System/Network Administration tasks

• Configure hardware, operating systems, network, storage, and backup devices for reliability, availability, and

performance in a physical or virtual environment.

• Implement and monitor configuration management, and reporting functions that will make a hands-off

environment.

• Configure and manage the implementation of management tools including monitoring, security, and backup tools.

• Configure and manage the implementation of network solutions, including firewall configuration, routing, IPsec

tunnels, remote access VPN access, etc.

• Works with infrastructure teams, application teams, service providers, and end-users to ensure solid solutions to

maintain secure, and highly available systems.

• Participate in the data center and/or office migration activities as needed.

• Schedules and participates in IT maintenance activities.

• diagnosis and root cause analysis of IT incidents.

• Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance.

IT Support Services

• Perform remote and onsite installs, upgrades, configuration, and advanced troubleshooting of end-user hardware

and software.

• Accept warm transfers from the Helpdesk and other System Admins to continue remote support.

• Monitors the ticket queue, assigns tickets, and verifies ticket completion.

• Helping in training end users in the use of software systems and hardware.

• Helping in interacting with and training internal employees at a technical level, as required.

Team Activities and Documentation

• Stays current with technological developments and helps in recommending ways for the organization to take

advantage of new technology.

• Create accurate solutions and documentation for internal support processes and procedures.

• IT Asset Inventory Management.

• Maintain IT asset inventory and configuration documentation.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related area) preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired.

Previous Work Experience

• Overall, 4-5 years and above experience in IT System Administration.

• Experience in environments with 200 users and above.

Skills and Abilities

• Good knowledge of Windows Server latest versions and desktop latest operating systems.

• Good knowledge of Active Directory and supporting services (DNS, DHCP, etc.).

• Good knowledge and administration experience with Microsoft Office 365 services including support for Office 365

Admin services, DirSync, Azure password sync, Hybrid Exchange 2016, Office 365 Exchange services, Teams,

OneDrive for Business services, SharePoint services, and other Office 365 services.

• Knowledge in setting up VMs and networks using Hyper-V and Azure IaaS.

• Sound knowledge in many of the following: SharePoint online, VSTS (DevOps), TFS Server, SharePoint Server latest

version, Microsoft SQL /latest version, Internet Information Server (IIS), and application/web site deployment and

management within IIS, Routing and Remote Access Services.

• Knowledge and experience with backup and recovery tools; Windows System Backup, Veeam Backup, and

Replication or any enterprise backup and restore application.

• A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking.

• Accomplish LAN Routing and Switching design and configuration. Advanced troubleshooting of networking issues.

• Knowledge in configuring Cisco ASA and Sophos XG for firewall and VPN services. desired

• Knowledge of storage technologies - NAS, iSCSI.

• Knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) is desired.

• Intermediate understanding of VoIP and telephony solutions.

• High initiative and ability to work independently according to strict schedules, ability to schedule one’s workload in

order to meet deadlines in a timely manner, and ability to work effectively without supervision.

• Possesses the ability to complete multiple simultaneous tasks in a timely manner.

• Customer service attitude and front-line support skills.

• Comprehend technical information as presented or observed and learn quickly
