This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

Our Workday HCM Technology team is at the head of leading and redefining our Workday platform to support evolving business requirements. Be a part of the Corporate Technology team! We work closely in tandem with several of our peer groups in the HR, Engineering, Finance and IT teams.
Our team supports and handles all the global configurations for the in scope Workday functional areas that include Core HCM, Compensation, Time Tracking, Absence, Payroll, Talent & Performance and Benefits.
We are looking for a Workday Systems Engineer to who would be the functional lead and SME supporting our global Payroll configurations in Workday. Apply and join our team!
What you’ll get to do…
- Work in an agile environment with a team of problem solvers, helping to resolve complex business issues from strategy to execution
- Build or maintain functional configuration and features of the Workday application focusing on functional areas - Global Payroll and including business process workflows, calibration tasks, custom reports, custom validations, condition rules and calculated fields
- Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements, configure, prototype and test
- Participate in the sprint planning activities, provide estimates for the tickets related to the focus area, work on the prioritized tickets for the monthly sprint related to your functional area
- Work with the partners for UAT and sign offs, perform peer reviews using GoDaddy’s deployment documentation and path to production methodology
- Document configurations, processes, and procedures relating to Workday payroll system
- Be a part of a team that will work to fix and resolve Workday production issues, bringing to bear the latest available features released by Workday
- Be our team’s resource for the cyclic projects and new architectures for Payroll including Third Party Payroll integrations’ support
- Collaborate with IT, HR, Compensation, and Finance to ensure participation, support, and inter-dependencies on multi-functional projects related to Payroll and to help implement Workday solutions that address the business needs
- Provide support and training to end users surrounding Workday HCM, Talent & Performance module with an emphasis on accuracy and standard methodologies
- Recommend effective strategies to ensure efficient use of Workday functionality based on knowledge of the processes and technology
- Continuously increase technical and industry trend knowledge by participating in Workday Community and other forums, including on-line discussions, brainstorms, voting, training, webinars etc
- Participate in Workday’s bi-annual releases - review the features for the Payroll functional area, assess impact, test, and recommend implementation strategy for the identified features in the upcoming sprints
Your experience should include…
- 8+ years of dynamic work experience processing / configuring in HCM or Payroll applications
- 5+ years of’ hands on experience with Workday configuration (business process configuration, condition rules, calculated fields) with a focus on Payroll
- Solid understanding of Workday payroll architecture, calculations, and integrations along with Workday’s Business Process and Security Framework
- Creating/ preparing existing EIBs and loading them to support mass transactions in Workday
- Knowledge of crafting basic custom reports as required for the functional areas supported
- Proficiency in various Workday modules
- Working in a dynamic, fast paced, growing global organization improving Workday
- Ability to balance multiple projects spread across multiple teams with excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Being a solutions architect settling long term solutions proactively and not just resolving the tickets with prior experience with functional or technical implementation of an ERP solution
You might also have…
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience from a four-year college or university in IT, Computer Science or related field
- Workday certification in one or multiple modules- Payroll(US/ UK/ Canada) , Benefits, Time Tracking & Absence, Compensation, Core HCM, Talent & Performance,
- Experience with new architectures/global acquisitions and supporting the related setup in Workday
