The Tax Analyst is responsible for providing indirect tax compliance support relating to global GST/VAT and other taxes as required for all jurisdictions in which Envato operates. Also is responsible for supporting the indirect tax filing obligations in multiple jurisdictions and assisting with end-to-end indirect tax compliance activities.
What you’ll be doing
- Generate indirect tax-related reports, including country-specific reports, and prepare data for indirect tax return filing.
- Compile indirect tax return, seek return approval and lodge (uploaded into tax authority portal).Prepare requests for manual payment and request approval for payment.
- Review Tax Authority statements and reconcile them against internal indirect tax reports/accounts.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives to mitigate process risk and ensure compliance.
About You
- Academic degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Tax law, data analytics, and/or the equivalent experience. 2 - 3 years experience working in an office environment.
- Indirect Tax experience is desirable but not essential.
- High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet multiple competing deadlines.
- Intermediate level of computer literacy and Excel knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well on a cross-functional team.
- Excellent English and Spanish in both written and verbal communication.
