About the Role (your why)
As the Technical Account Manager, you will be focused on building and nurturing relationships with our clients, ensuring their technical requirements are met and identifying ways to grow our client base. This position may also involve overseeing project implementation, including project planning, assessing costs, and evaluating vendors. You will also review proposals and Statements of Work (SoW). This role is part of our Networks division, so having extensive experience and knowledge with various Network and Security Technologies is crucial.
To be successful in your application for this role you will need Australian Citizenship and be eligible to obtain a Baseline clearance or NV1.
What you’ll do (your why)
As the Technical Account Manager for Networks, you will maintain the practice of customer centric behaviours, processes, and technologies across the Networks team to ensure Customers are at the heart of everything we do. You will act as a liaison between customers and various teams, including technical support, product development, sales, and field service. Together with these teams, you will identify opportunities to enhance support delivery, reduce costs, and deliver added value.
You will also review and approve documents to protect to ensure compliance with company policies. You will receive objectives as assignments and have the autonomy to determine the best approach to achieve goals using available resources. Your guidance and advice within the framework of company policies will be valuable in resolving technical issues and meeting deadlines. You will also have the opportunity to recommend policy changes and establish procedures that impact company’s operations. Additionally, you will monitor, measure, and report on operational issues, development plans, and achievements within the department using established formats and timelines.
What you’ll bring
Knowledge of industry standards and government regulations relevant to data communications / networking. Extensive experience and specialist skills in the configuration and maintenance of networking/communications infrastructure, including the ability to support a variety of technologies.
Advanced operational knowledge of networking systems and software covering both Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
Strong consultative and planning skills and ability to escalate with a solution focus and a passion for delivering great service to customers
Excellent customer relationship building and management skills with strong influencing and persuasive ability
Manage towards positive solutions by having an ability to bring people and teams together to find outcomes-based solutions
Proven negotiating and commercial contract skills with the aptitude to ensure win/win situations for all parties through strong business acumen
Pragmatic approach to problem solving with the ability to work on complex issues through analysis of situations, variables, or data
Natural leadership with the ability to frequently interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members
