The Technical Product Owner 2 (TPO2) has oversight of project execution across 1+ teams driving cloud team roadmap realization.  This role will collaborate with other teams to ensure all projects adhere to infrastructure and security best practices.  We have a large distributed global engineering organization that leverages a broad spectrum of technologies. Our engineering success depends on the entire team across the globe being aligned on standards which the TPO2 will continually reinforce and iteratively improve.  The TPO2 collects key performance indicators of global agile teams and will present these to senior leadership and team members.

What you’ll do:

• Be a servant leader and a beacon for agile best practices.

• Defining the vision:

○ Primary owner of the product backlog for 1-2 teams.

○ Primary contributor in the creation of the enterprise roadmap in collaboration with other product owners, development/engineering teams.

○ Ownership in refinement of stories and acceptance criteria for 1-2 teams

• Define Iteration:  Prioritize needs of the backlog (juggle the triangle of scope, budget, and time) at the enterprise level monthly, quarterly, yearly.

• Drives Iteration: Can effectively create a product/project and take it from the discovery phase to release.  Accurate assessing product opportunities and risks. Has a say in deciding whether to continue or change the existing product development path, in the case of an unfavorable trajectory.

• Communication:

○ Obtains primary buy-in from stakeholders on all major decisions and strategy and provides clear instructions and deliverables for the engineers.

○ Define, refine, and report key performance indicators for the software teams to provide clarity on productivity, technical health and factors that may be impeding them

• Team Ownership: 1+ team as the lead product owner.

• Agile:  Primary PO role in all agile ceremonies but also organize workshops with the Product’s users and Agile teams.

• Toolkit: Introduces new and useful tools and practices.  Jira proficient

Skills & Requirements

Who you are:

• 2+ years of experience leading platform engineers through successful product deliveries in an Agile environment

• Certifications (nice to have):

○ Certified Scrum Professional - Product Owner

○ Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

• Proven skills in measuring software engineering key performance indicators

• Experience with global engineering teams, particularly with teams co-located in India and North America and/or Europe

• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills for interacting with all internal organization, executives and business customer groups

• Elevated level of personal initiative, integrity, and leadership

• Ability to serve as the technical leader of a distributed, collaborative, and extraordinarily skilled Cloud Ops engineers.

• Experience training engineers in SDLC a plus

Potential base salary. Does not include bonus OR commission and benefits.

COMPENSATION RANGE: $82,000-$87,000 USD
