At Accela, our Project Managers are strategic leaders who drive the success of complex, high-impact software implementations. As a Project Manager, you’ll own the cross-functional Professional Services delivery process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction. Your work will directly influence both customer outcomes and Accela’s continued growth.

  • Manage Client Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, fostering strong relationships through transparent communication. Act as the first line of escalation and support the Regional Director in executive engagements.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate efforts across internal teams—including Consultants, Architects, PMO, Cloud Ops, Product, Support, and Partners—to ensure aligned execution and shared success.
  • Support Business Growth: Contribute to business development efforts by supporting project expansions, participating in proposal development, and assisting with budget estimation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Project Management Expertise: PMP certification preferred. Demonstrated skill in applying the right methodologies, tools, and strategies to effectively plan, track, and drive project success.
  • Multi-Project Leadership: Proven ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously, each at varying stages of the delivery lifecycle.
  • Technical Agility: Quick to understand, adopt, and apply new technologies and delivery approaches.
  • Tool Proficiency: Proficient in using formal project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, and others.
  • Analytical Strength: Strong problem-solving skills and experience addressing both technical and project management challenges.
  • Organizational Excellence: Highly organized with the ability to balance and prioritize competing demands across clients and internal teams.
  • Executive and Technical Communication: Comfortable communicating with both C-level executives and technical team members, adapting communication style as needed.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Government Software Implementation: Minimum of 5 years successfully leading implementations of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) or platform-based enterprise software solutions for Tier-1 government clients.
  • Project Management Credentials: PMP certification preferred. Strong ability to select and apply effective project planning, tracking, and productivity tools and strategies.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Enterprise Software Delivery: Hands-on experience with the deployment of large-scale, enterprise-class software systems.
