About Pearl Talent:
Pearl works with the top 1% of candidates from around the world and connects them with the best startups in the US and EU. Our clients have raised over $5B in aggregate and are backed by companies like OpenAI, a16z, and Founders Fund. Candidates we’ve hired have been flown out to the US and EU to work with their clients, and even promoted to roles that match folks onshore in the US.

Why Work with Us?
We’re not just another recruiting firm—we focus on placing candidates with exceptional US and EU founders who prioritize the long-term success of their team members. We also provide retention bonuses at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months, as well as community-driven benefits like an annual retreat.
Role Overview:
As a Technical Recruiter, you’ll own and drive end-to-end technical hiring across multiple startup clients—leading strategy, execution, and innovation in how we find and close the top 1% of engineers, product managers, data professionals, and other technical talent. You’ll bring deep technical market fluency, strong sourcing instincts, and the ability to tailor strategies to each role and company’s stage.
This role sits at the crossroads of hands-on execution and strategic leadership. You’ll not only close roles but shape how we recruit and build the foundations for a repeatable, scalable, and insight-driven technical recruitment engine.
Your Impact
You will be Pearl’s expert on technical hiring. Your ability to read the market, craft effective sourcing strategies, and guide hiring teams will drive our success in building world-class engineering and product teams for ambitious startups. You’ll be the go-to partner for recruiters and clients tackling highly competitive tech roles.
Areas of Responsibility
1. Technical Hiring Strategy & Execution
- Strategic Ownership: Lead the development of recruitment strategies for technical roles (e.g., software engineers, data scientists, PMs, QA, DevOps).
- Execution: Manage full-cycle recruitment, including intake, sourcing, screening, technical evaluation coordination, and offer closing.
- Strategy Matching: Identify which sourcing channels, messaging angles, and outbound/inbound strategies are most effective per role, stack, and seniority level.
2. Sourcing & Market Expertise
- Market Fluency: Stay on top of trends in compensation, remote hiring, skill demand, and talent availability across key regions.
- Sourcing Systems: Build and continuously improve sourcing frameworks—tailored Boolean strings, outreach templates, platforms usage—for hard-to-fill tech roles.
- Strategy Experimentation: Launch and evaluate A/B tests across sourcing methods, outreach copy, and candidate channels to optimize results.
3. Client & Hiring Manager Partnership
- Deep Discovery: Guide clients through technical role definition, market expectations, and must-have vs. nice-to-have clarifications.
- Consultative Partnering: Offer proactive insights on pipeline health, conversion risks, and sourcing pivots; drive clarity and calibration throughout the hiring process.
5. Quality Control & Process Optimization
- Evaluation Alignment: Ensure assessments, interviews, and role briefs are aligned with role level, stack, and client expectations.
- Feedback Loops: Collect post-hire feedback to improve targeting, role design, and recruiter understanding over time.
6. Tech Stack & Data-Driven Insights
- Tool Usage: Leverage ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, StackOverflow, and other sourcing platforms for insight-driven technical hiring.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track sourcing effectiveness, conversion rates, and recruiter productivity on tech roles; share insights to drive process improvement.
What are we looking for?
- 3+ years of experience in technical recruitment, with at least 1 year in a leadership, strategy, or mentorship role
- Strong understanding of engineering and product role profiles, stacks, and evaluation methods
- Proven ability to design and adjust sourcing strategies per technical role
- Confident in collaborating with founders, CTOs, and hiring managers to drive alignment and close top talent
- Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced startup environment
What You’ll Gain:
- Monthly performance bonus
- Fully remote, forever
- Annual team retreat
- Unlimited PTO
- Real-world experience in recruitment marketing and sourcing
- A behind-the-scenes look at how we connect people with opportunities
- A supportive team that values your growth and ideas
