Job description

MindMed is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel product candidates to treat brain health disorders. Our mission is to be the global leader in the development and delivery of treatments that unlock new opportunities to improve patient outcomes. We are developing a pipeline of innovative product candidates, with and without acute perceptual effects, targeting neurotransmitter pathways that play key roles in brain health.

Founded in 2019, we are continuously expanding our presence and global footprint. We are constantly searching for high-impact individuals in various clinical, technical and business operations domains to strengthen our team of patient-centric, intelligent individuals.

The Vice President, Investor Relations will serve as a primary point of contact with the investment community and play a critical role in shaping how MindMed is perceived by investors, analysts, and the broader financial ecosystem. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this leader will be responsible for developing and executing a best-in-class investor relations strategy that aligns with MindMed’s corporate goals, scientific milestones, and responsibilities as a public company.

This individual will collaborate closely with the CEO, CFO, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, R&D leadership, Legal, and other cross-functional partners to ensure consistent, accurate, and compelling external communication. A strong understanding of capital markets and the biotech landscape—as well as the ability to translate complex scientific and business developments into clear narratives—is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the CFO to lead the development and execution of a strategic, hands-on investor relations program that reflects MindMed’s mission, milestones, and market positioning
  • Act as a primary spokesperson to the investment community, building and maintaining strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and banking partners
  • Coordinate the timing, content, and delivery of all investor-facing communications in collaboration with Corporate Affairs and Legal, including earnings releases, investor presentations, press releases, and the investor section of the website
  • Ensure compliance with SEC regulations, Reg FD, and company disclosure policies; help draft and review public filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-Ks as needed
  • Work with the executive team to prepare for quarterly earnings calls, investor conferences, roadshows, KOL events, and other public-facing engagements
  • Drive investor targeting strategies, including identifying and cultivating relationships with new and existing shareholders aligned with MindMed’s long-term vision
  • Lead or support crisis communications and material event announcements, including clinical trial results, corporate transactions, and financing events
  • Track and analyze investor feedback, stock performance, analyst coverage, and capital markets trends; synthesize insights for internal stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with Corporate Affairs, Medical Affairs, and Clinical teams to coordinate events such as R&D/Analyst Days, KOL webinars, and patient advocacy engagements
  • Educate internal stakeholders on investor sentiment and capital markets dynamics to promote alignment across departments
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on matters related to market perception, valuation drivers, and strategic communications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Biology, Communications); advanced degree (MBA, PhD, or MS) preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with a strong track record in investor relations—ideally within a publicly traded biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences company
  • Deep understanding of capital markets, investor behavior, and the key factors driving biotech valuation
  • Familiarity with SEC regulations, disclosure obligations, and IR best practices
  • Established relationships with key investors, analysts, and bankers in the healthcare/life sciences space
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex data into clear and compelling narratives
  • Experience with IR tools and platforms is a plus
  • Confident representing the company externally and engaging directly with institutional investors and analysts
  • Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving, and science-driven environment
  • Strong ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards

The starting base pay range for this position is $259,363.00 - $315,915.00. Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, years of experience, and the employee’s geographic location.
