About Openly

We started Openly in Boston, Massachusetts in 2017 to provide home insurance through independent agents. Our founders, Ty Harris and Matt Wielbut, wanted to combine actuarial science, machine learning, and technology to create clear policies for agents and excellent coverage for homeowners.

We use data and advanced technology to assess risk and offer competitive rates. Our customizable home insurance policies provide up to $5 million in guaranteed replacement cost coverage and $1 million in liability. You can also add options like up to $100,000 in blanket coverage for personal property, water backup, and equipment breakdown.

We aim for a smooth claims process with our dedicated team and partner solutions. We currently operate in 24 states and plan to expand further, working with carriers like MS Transverse and Clear Blue.
