Shopify Web Manager
Re porting To: Product/Development Team
Engagement Type: Full-time, Long-term (subject to performance and team fit)
Role Overview
The Shopify Web Manager will be responsible for validating site functionality, monitoring performance, and ensuring a consistent user experience across browsers and devices. You will serve as the quality gatekeeper for site updates, third-party integrations, and UX/UI implementation. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail, a strong understanding of QA processes, and the ability to work cross-functionally with developers, designers, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct functional testing for all site features including checkout, forms, filters, and navigation
Execute cross-browser and cross-device testing (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, iOS, Android)
Validate UI/UX against design specs to ensure optimal user experience
Monitor and report on site performance including page speed and responsiveness
Perform SEO and accessibility audits aligned with best practices (e.g., WCAG)
Test third-party integrations such as shipping, CRM, payments, and reviews
Document bugs and issues using tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana
Run regression testing following site updates or bug fixes
Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and PMs to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Required Skills and Qualifications
3+ years of QA, web management, or Shopify experience
Strong knowledge of cross-browser/device testing tools and methodologies
Familiarity with SEO, accessibility standards, and performance optimization
Experience with project management tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana
Detail-oriented with a focus on clean reporting and communication
Ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced, and collaborative environment
Preferred but Not Required
Hands-on experience working within Shopify’s admin or Liquid templates
Familiarity with automated testing tools or QA scripting
Experience managing integrations with CRMs, shipping platforms, or analytics tools

Performance Expectations (First 90 Days)
30 Days: Audit current Shopify site for bugs, performance issues, and UX inconsistencies; document and prioritize fixes.
60 Days: Establish QA workflow for ongoing releases and conduct cross-browser/device testing for active development items.
90 Days: Support regression testing, monitor integration health, and implement a proactive QA reporting process across the team.
