Job Description

Our client is a trusted partner in the financial-banking sector in Germany, both in the public and private sectors who offers services for over 150,000 banking workstations and for more than 4,500 employees. It covers over 60% of banking sector in Germany.

SharePoint Operations and Administration

Ensure the stable and efficient operation of SharePoint environments, including both on-premises and SharePoint Online. Monitor system performance and availability, and take action to maintain service continuity.

Issue Resolution and Technical Support

Provide mid-level technical support for SharePoint-related issues by diagnosing and resolving incidents. Escalate complex problems to senior engineers and support the implementation of permanent solutions.

Security and Compliance Support

Apply and maintain existing security policies and access controls within SharePoint environments. Manage user permissions in line with internal standards, data protection regulations, and compliance requirements.

Configuration and Maintenance

Administer SharePoint sites and site collections, including permissions, lists, libraries, and standard workflows. Support existing third-party integrations and follow governance guidelines.

Collaboration and User Support

Work closely with internal teams (IT, business units, support teams) on day-to-day SharePoint activities. Provide end-user support and participate in basic training sessions to encourage effective platform usage.

Ticket Management

Handle and resolve support tickets using the ticketing system, ensuring tasks are prioritized and resolved within agreed service level agreements (SLAs). Document solutions and contribute to operational knowledge bases.

Upgrades and Enhancements

Participate in SharePoint upgrades, patching, and migration activities under the guidance of senior engineers. Perform testing and validation following system changes to ensure stability and data integrity.

Qualifications

Must Have

  • Proven experience as a SharePoint Administrator or in a similar role, with at least 2–3 years of hands-on experience managing SharePoint environments (on-premises and/or SharePoint Online).

  • Practical experience with configuration and administration of SharePoint, including site collections, permissions, lists, libraries, and standard workflows.

  • Solid understanding of SharePoint security concepts, including access control, permission management, and basic compliance requirements.

  • Experience providing technical support and troubleshooting for SharePoint-related issues in an enterprise environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while meeting deadlines in a dynamic, operational setting.

  • Proficiency in German (B2/C1) and English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

  • Microsoft or M365-related certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator, Teams Administrator Associate, or similar.

  • Basic to intermediate experience with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration and automation tasks.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services (e.g., Teams, OneDrive, Power Automate) and their integration with SharePoint.

  • Experience with system monitoring, performance optimization, and root-cause analysis in SharePoint environments.

  • Previous experience working in regulated or large enterprise environments (e.g., banking, finance, public sector).
