Job description
Senior Technical Project Manager (AI Consulting)
Downtown Toronto | Hybrid - 3 days on-site
$110,000–$140,000 CAD Base + Benefits
About Us
Toronto-based AI consulting company delivering long-running, high-impact AI initiatives
We often partner with non-technical, mid-market, and enterprise clients to solve real business problems using AI
Engagements typically last 6–12+ months, building from discovery to MVP and beyond
Distributed delivery model with senior client leadership in Toronto and engineering teams Overseas
We value ownership, clarity, and outcome-driven delivery over rigid processes
What You’ll Do
Own AI project delivery end-to-end, from early discovery through MVP and iterative expansion
Act as the trusted delivery partner for clients — often the most consistent point of contact
Independently plan, structure, and drive complex initiatives with minimal oversight
Translate business strategy into technical execution that teams can actually deliver
Establish credibility quickly with senior, non-technical external stakeholders
Balance short-term delivery with long-term product and technical direction
How We Work
Senior PMs are expected to self-manage and proactively solve problems
Agile delivery with flexibility — frameworks serve outcomes, not the other way around
We build our early MVPs to prove value, followed by iterative scaling
Distributed teams require clear documentation, structured communication, and ownership
You’ll collaborate closely with leadership, but you are not micromanaged
About You
You are a senior, client-ready PM who doesn’t need heavy direction
You’ve worked in consulting or agency environments and understand delivery pressure
You communicate clearly with executives, operators, and engineers alike
You are comfortable leading when requirements are unclear or evolving
You see yourself as accountable for outcomes — not just timelines and ceremonies
Example Responsibilities
Lead enterprise-level AI and software projects with multiple stakeholders
Drive discovery, estimation, roadmap planning, and MVP definition
Facilitate agile ceremonies with intent and discipline
Own scope, delivery plans, and risk management
Translate technical tradeoffs into business decisions that clients can understand
Manage distributed engineering teams and cross-functional contributors
Set delivery standards and raise the bar for execution quality
Qualifications
Must-Have
7+ years managing complex software projects in agile environments
Strong consulting/agency experience with direct client ownership
Experience delivering AI-enabled or data-driven products
Enterprise-level project leadership
- Multiple senior stakeholders, governance, security, or integration constraints
Zero-to-one MVP experience
- Proven history of taking projects from idea → MVP → iteration multiple times
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Comfort working with globally distributed teams and early-morning ET coordination
Nice-to-Have
Experience with GenAI, ML workflows, or data platforms
Agile or PM certifications (CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP, etc.)
Background in product management, software development, or business analysis
Compensation & Benefits
$110,000–$140,000 CAD base salary
Benefits package included (Health/Dental)
Hybrid work model (3 days a week in downtown Toronto core)
High-trust, high-ownership environment
Will be working directly with the Executive Management Team
