We are seeking a motivated and independently driven Scientist to join our team investigating Parkinson’s disease biology using iPSC-derived cells and in vivo models. The successful candidate will oversee animal studies and data analysis, and design and execute cell-based assays to advance our understanding of Parkinson’s disease within a collaborative, cross-functional research team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, optimize, and perform cell-based assays using iPSC-derived cells
- Conduct standard molecular biology experiments including Western blot, ELISA, flow cytometry, etc.
- Perform cell-based imaging and immunohistochemistry (IHC) to assess protein localization, expression, and cellular phenotypes
- Manage external collaborations and coordinate activities with contract research organizations (CROs)
- Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data to project teams and external partners
- Collaborate effectively with scientists across multiple therapeutic areas and functional groups
- Maintain detailed experimental records and contribute to scientific reports and publications
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Immunology, Neuroscience, or related field
- Demonstrated expertise in mammalian cell culture techniques
- Proficiency in standard molecular biology methods
- Experience with imaging techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in team settings
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with iPSC culture and differentiation
- Experience with immunohistochemistry (IHC)
- Experience managing CRO relationships or external collaborations
- Track record of scientific presentations and/or publications
$65 - $80 an hour
