About Allbirds
We started in 2016, with roots in New Zealand and our headquarters in San Francisco. We make shoes and apparel using natural materials like merino wool, eucalyptus tree fiber, and sugar cane. Our shoe lineup for men and women includes styles like the Wool Runner, Breezer Mary Jane, Trail Runners, Varsity Strap, Varsity Cruiser, Tree Runner NZ, Tree Glider, and Cruiser.
We handle wholesale and international distribution, developing marketing and coordinating trade shows and events. Our operations include pre-season forecasting, inventory management, placing purchase orders, and managing factories.
We use a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Tool to calculate the carbon footprint of our products. We also source wool from Lake Hawea Station, participating in The New Zealand Merino Company’s regenerative wool program, ZQRX.
