About Allwyn UK

We took over running The National Lottery on February 1, 2024, under a 10-year license. We’re part of Allwyn Entertainment Group, which operates lotteries in Austria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Cyprus, and Italy. Our goal is for The National Lottery to make a positive difference in people’s lives daily.

We want to improve the player experience by offering more games, getting more people to play, making games more entertaining, creating more winners, and increasing the money raised for National Lottery-funded projects. Over our 10-year license, we plan to double the returns to these projects. We’re modernizing The National Lottery for the digital age by investing heavily in technology and data, aiming for a digital-first lottery. Our focus areas include lottery operations, technology innovation, digital gaming, and responsible play. We’re an entertainment provider. Creating social value and ensuring player safety are key to what we do. This includes promoting healthy play, empowering people, protecting the planet, and fostering prosperous places, along with measures to prevent harmful gambling.

Team & Culture

We have between 51 and 200 employees. We’re building an inclusive and collaborative culture based on shared values, striving for a workplace where everyone feels they belong, can be themselves, and can succeed. It’s a fast-paced environment.

We use a hybrid working model, with teams typically coming into the office three days a week. Our headquarters are in Watford at Clarendon Works, and we also have a London office, The Burlian. Both offices feature open-plan layouts, flexible and quiet zones, games areas, and terraces. They also include inclusive design elements such as motorized doors, adaptable workstations, sensory-friendly spaces, a parent’s room, and a multi-faith suite. Amenities like tea, coffee, filtered water, fresh fruit, car parking, bike storage, and a shuttle bus are available. Our offices run on renewable energy, with sustainability in mind during design and operation.

We are a Disability Confident Leader, dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for disabled and neurodiverse people. We guarantee interviews for disabled applicants who meet essential criteria, anonymize CVs, and work with partners like Evenbreak, Purple Tuesday, and D&I in Grocery.
