About ARCHIMED
We founded ARCHIMED in 2014 as a global investment firm focused on healthcare. We have offices in Europe, North America, and APAC.
We partner with healthcare businesses, offering both strategic and financial support through our operational, medical, scientific, and financial expertise. We manage €9 billion across our funds, including the largest healthcare-only private equity fund raised by a European-based General Partner.
We invest between €10 million and €1 billion in leading small-cap and mid-cap growth buyout transactions. Our key sectors include Biopharma Products, Consumer Health, Animal & Environmental Health, Healthcare IT, Diagnostics, Life Science Tools & Biologic Services, MedTech, and Pharma Services. We help our partners with international expansion, acquisitions, innovation, and developing new products and services.
Companies in our portfolio see an average annual topline growth of over 20%, accelerating their growth rate by more than 60% compared to before our investment. For example, we’ve supported the spin-off of SuanNutra, the sale of Citieffe, and the acquisition of ARK Diagnostics.
Our first fund, MED I, raised in 2014, fully liquidated and returned 7.2 times investors’ money, achieving a 59% annual return over 11 years. Our funds consistently rank among the top 10% for performance. Over 10,000 people work for ARCHIMED companies.
Mission & Values
Our goal is to speed up the development of healthcare solutions that benefit people and patients worldwide. We were founded by healthcare professionals who wanted to make a real difference in the industry.
We fund, support, and grow companies that improve health outcomes. Since the beginning, we’ve been a dedicated Impact investor, both directly and through our EURÊKA Foundation.
We invest in mission-driven companies that aim to positively impact healthcare and build responsible businesses. All our funds are classified under SFDR Article 8, 8+, or 9. We established the EURÊKA Foundation at the same time as ARCHIMED, supporting it financially and through our team’s volunteer efforts. 5% of ARCHIMED’s profit from carried interest goes back to the community through the foundation.
Team & Culture
Our global team has over 200 members from more than 35 nationalities, with backgrounds in operations, medicine, science, and finance. Half of our Investment Committee members are former healthcare CEOs.
We aim to provide an environment where people from diverse backgrounds can build a career in private equity. We offer a strong learning environment designed to accelerate professional and personal growth.
We encourage a culture of mutual support, where asking questions is welcomed, and colleagues help each other. Our team works as one global unit across our offices in the US, Europe, and Asia. Our flat organizational structure speeds up development, allowing individuals to regularly interact with Partners and leadership on projects.
We strive to be reliable partners, building strong relationships with management teams by deeply understanding all aspects of the companies we work with. This often involves secondments to portfolio companies, which are great learning opportunities for our team members. We support each team member’s development goals through mentoring, coaching, certification, training, and a dedicated mentorship program.
Our team’s international makeup mirrors our companies and investors, offering employees a broad cultural experience. Our global reach extends to investments across APAC, LATAM, North America, Europe, and Asia. Our team also volunteers through the EURÊKA Foundation.
