Position Overview:

The Quality Operations Manager will lead the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and serve as Facility Security Officer (FSO). This role ensures policies and procedures across departments are governed in accordance with the QMS, maintains certification alignment, and prepares the company for internal and external audits. As FSO, the manager will oversee clearance processing, access control, and compliance with NISPOM and other security regulations.

Work Location: Hybrid (Must be local to Washington, DC metropolitan area)

Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors:

  • Create and manage enterprise-wide policy governance, including version control and review cycles.
  • Lead audit readiness efforts, ensuring structured documentation and preparation for internal and external audits.
  • Oversee data integrity practices and promote harmonized reporting across departments.
  • Drive certification alignment with CMMC, ISO 9001, and CMMI.
  • Review and improve business processes to reduce duplication and increase efficiency.
  • Provide cross-department support on compliance and quality management practices.
  • Perform all FSO duties, including clearance processing, access control, and compliance with NISPOM.
  • Report compliance gaps, risks, and improvement needs to senior leadership.

Education and Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, quality management, or a related field.
  • Must have an active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in quality management, compliance, or governance.
  • Strong knowledge of CMMC, ISO 9001, and CMMI frameworks.
  • Experience with government contracting compliance and audit requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with performance metrics.
  • Active or eligible FSO designation with knowledge of NISPOM standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in quality or compliance.
  • Experience implementing Quality Management Systems at scale.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
