About Clearway Energy Group
Founded in 2018, we are an independent clean power developer and operator. Our goal is a world powered by clean energy.
Our portfolio includes over 350 clean energy projects in America, with more than 13 GW of gross generating capacity across 27 states. This includes over 2.8 GW of flexible dispatchable power generation, and 10.3 GW of battery energy storage, solar, and wind assets that help ensure grid reliability. Our operating fleet generates enough electricity to power over 2 million homes.
We develop new energy projects across the country and manage operations with 11.8 GW of gross operating capacity across 35 states, owning 9.1 GW of this capacity. We handle origination and business development for natural gas, storage, solar, and wind projects. Our services cover project development, including site diligence, project management, permitting, and interconnection. We also provide engineering, procurement, and construction management.
In capital markets, we have raised over $22 billion to finance more than 350 projects. Our commercial operations include in-house asset management and operations and maintenance for wind, solar, and battery storage assets.
We serve corporations, education institutions, governments, residential customers, and wholesale customers, such as investor-owned utilities, municipals, cooperatives, community choice aggregators, and competitive retail providers. We own a controlling interest in Clearway Energy, Inc., a public affiliate with over 6,300 net MW of installed wind and solar generation projects and approximately 2,500 net MW of natural gas generation facilities. Global Infrastructure Partners and TotalEnergies own Clearway Energy Group. We invest $92 million in local communities each year.
