In June 2025, AU transformed and expanded its softball business by launching the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL), a premier professional women’s softball league. In 2026, additional teams have been added, converting to a fully city-based model, bringing in team owners, and building out ancillary business, fan and partner engagement opportunities.

Athletes Unlimited Softball League is hiring a Manager, Social Media. This position will work collaboratively across social, graphics, video and photography to publish compelling social media content as well as with internal departments to drive growth, engagement and awareness for AUSL. This position is full-time, remote and reports to the Sr. Manager, Social & Content.
Responsibilities
Execute the overall social content strategy for two AUSL teams, including overseeing the content calendar, publishing content, and community engagement across your assigned teams, channels and audiences
Work collaboratively across the broader content team (Graphics, Video, Photo) to ideate the creation of social media content
Partner alongside internal stakeholders to publish engaging content that helps drive engagement and revenue as it pertains to Partnerships, Ticketing, Marketing and Impact
Work with the social media team to ideate social planning and publishing cadence around AUSL league initiatives, team based content series, athletes, plus tentpole campaigns, and other content initiatives
Sort and execute social content requests from internal and external stakeholders
Capture and edit content while on-site at games and events, while remaining consistent with team and brand messaging
Manage social freelancers to help with in season content publishing and production
Leverage social reporting to identify areas of improvement and/or growth with an open-minded ‘test and learn’ approach
4-6 years of prior experience in a similar role
Proven experience working within a social media team
Ability to form strong, professional working relationships
Ability to write engaging social copy across different platforms and tones of voice
Experience in the curation, measurement and development of original content
Possess a creative eye for social, passion for uniqueness and ability to act proactively
Proficient in existing social platforms and emerging social channels
Experience in content production and post-production workflows a plus
May be required to and must be willing to perform other duties as assigned, to meet organizational needs
Strong preference for candidates based in the following cities:
- Durham, NC
- Portland, OR
- Rosemont, IL
- Round Rock, TX
- Salt Lake City, UT
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Travel to season locations as needed, approximately 50% of the AUSL season, including Spring Training. Additional travel as needed to cover offseason events.is estimated at roughly 6-10 events per year. Due to the nature of the growing league, flexibility to accommodate additional events is required
Legal authorization to work in the United States
This role is full-time, remote and is compensated at a range of $56,000-$65,000 annually. While this is the intended range, the actual compensation may vary based on several factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, and geographic location of the position. We anticipate the highest end of the range will be reserved for those who exceed the hiring committee’s expectations on all measures of the evaluation process.
