Every day, the Bazaarvoice engineering team tackles interesting and challenging problems across virtually every major computer science problem domain, and we do it all at a massive scale.
Bazaarvoice is looking for outstanding people who are passionate about building great software, and want their work to have real-world impact. Product data and user generated content are the driving forces of Bazaarvoice. This engineer will join the team working on our Partner Integration Ecosystem which expands the value of generated content like ratings and reviews, questions and answers to other platforms our clients use every day.
As a senior engineer on the team will be responsible for helping design, develop, deliver and own a range of solutions to extend Bazaarvoice’s Partner Integration Ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Write high quality code, participating in code reviews and advocating for best practises of software development
- Implement efficient, scalable and reusable services and APIs using Typescript, Node.js, AWS, PostgreSQL, Kafka and React.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, senior staff and principal engineers
- Own and deliver high quality technical solutions with a strong delivery mindset
- Coach junior engineers
- Triage, investigate and resolve production issues and outages
- On call rotation
- Experience with implementing monitoring and alerting for applications
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated experience building using large-scale backend services and APIs.
- Strong software development knowledge in programming languages such as Java, Javascript, Typescript.
- Experience with working on cloud native technologies.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems (Subversion, Git).
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Event-driven serverless architectures using AWS services such as Lambda, S3, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and EventBridge.
- Familiarity with event driven solutions, e.g.Kafka.
- Familiarity with search engines like Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
- Familiar with Infrastructure as code tools, e.g. Terraform, AWS Cloudformation, Sam.

Pay Transparency & Integrity Builds Trust
At Bazaarvoice, we carefully consider multiple factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. We also take geography into consideration when we can but are not able to accommodate every location when determining our ranges. These considerations mean that compensation can vary. The above base salary range for this position is EUR gross per month and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
