BeamNG GmbH

We develop and maintain a soft-body physics engine for real-time simulation of vehicle dynamics and damage on consumer hardware. The engine, first released in 2013, is used in our vehicle game, BeamNG.drive. It is also licensed for industrial use in academic and commercial research and design programs.

We offer a free version, BeamNG.tech, for non-commercial research. Our technology is applied in driver behavior research, vehicle interior simulation, autonomous vehicle training, machine learning, ADAS, autonomous driving, and driver training.

Our long-term goals include expanding partnerships with international companies and continuing to support BeamNG.drive as it moves out of Early Access. We also build and scale our ecosystem’s infrastructure, including a self-service software delivery platform, mod repository, authentication services, and payment integrations. We use technologies like FastAPI, Vue 3, and Docker for deployment.

We are an international independent development studio with a multicultural team of over 70 people. Our team is diverse and international, with employees working from our headquarters in Bremen, Germany, or remotely from various global locations. The majority of us work remotely, though our HQ has been in Bremen since 2018.
