Liferaft

We started Liferaft in 2014, specializing in Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) solutions. Our goal is to help organizations make informed decisions with real-time data. We are based in Halifax, NS, Canada, employ 51-200 people, and work in the Security and Investigations industry.

Our OSINT platform uses advanced analytics and machine learning to collect and analyze information. It pulls data from many online sources, including social media, blogs, forums, fringe networks, classified sites, and the deep and dark web. The platform helps with threat detection and intelligence gathering. Its features include data aggregation, real-time threat detection with customizable alerts, geospatial intelligence, identity resolution (to link online personas), and a case management system using Dossiers to centralize information.

We serve medium, large, and global corporations. Over 200 organizations worldwide, including leading companies, use our services. Our work covers Corporate Security, Web Search, Asset & Infrastructure, Fraud Prevention, Loss Prevention, Transportation Security, Executive Protection, Data Leak Detection, Emergency Management, and Events & Entertainment Security.

We are a remote-first workplace, offering optional office access and flexible hours. Hybrid options are available in Halifax, NS, and fully remote roles are open across Canada, specifically in Eastern/Atlantic time zones, Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes. We offer competitive pay and flexible PTO, with a minimum of 15 days annually and no upper cap. We provide health and dental benefits through Medavie Blue Cross, covering 80% of benefits costs and 100% of dental for employees and dependents. This includes orthodontic coverage for minor dependents, with a lifetime maximum per BC guidelines. We also offer mental health coverage up to $3,000 per month for both employees and dependents, along with free access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Greenshield, and various physical and mental health services via a wellness platform. Other benefits include a $750 yearly lifestyle subsidy, monthly cell phone and parking reimbursements, and social events.
