Job Description
Your contribution to something big:
Join our Heat Pump development team in Aveiro and help shape the future of sustainable heating solutions. As a Lab Testing Technologies Engineer, you will contribute to the development and rollout of standardized testing technologies across multiple laboratory locations. Your work will support efficient testing processes and enable reliable product validation for innovative heat pump systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to the specification and setup of test rigs and laboratory infrastructure for heat pump development.
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of a central lab management system to ensure efficient testing workflows and transparency across laboratories.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of a centralized test data database accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Monitoring lab performance and preparing reports and key metrics to support continuous improvement.
- Defining specifications for laboratory equipment and infrastructure.
- Supporting purchasing activities such as supplier selection, market requests (RfQ), and quotation comparison based on total cost of ownership requirements.
- Coordinating with suppliers during the development and installation of laboratory equipment.
- Monitoring equipment development to ensure project milestones and technical requirements are met.
- Supporting validation of laboratory testing equipment and system interfaces.
- Contributing to the maintenance and continuous improvement of lab equipment and processes.
- Supporting witness testing activities in collaboration with certification institutes.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including test procedures, reports, and best practices.
Qualifications
What distinguishes you:
Education:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering, Physics, or a comparable technical field.
Experience
- Experience with laboratory technologies or testing environments.
- Exposure to product testing or laboratory infrastructure is beneficial.
Know-how
- Knowledge of testing specifications, laboratory equipment, or test systems.
- Understanding of laboratory data management or testing workflows is an advantage.
- Ability to approach challenges with a structured problem-solving mindset.
Languages
- Good communication skills in English.
