✨The core mission of the QA Analyst
You will advocate for high standards for the tools that developers and designers use at Hack The Box and be the voice of quality for the team. As the quality owner for the team, you’ll set testing requirements with the product owners and engineers, holding them accountable to their commitments.
Your work will focus on the Enterprise Platform (Hack The Box for Business), which makes available the HTB services to Business customers. The platform is where the majority of HTB solutions are organized to fit customer needs on advanced analytics, reporting, user access, lab management, and much, much more. In the Enterprise Platform, businesses from Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and universities enter a continuous learning and upskilling journey to develop their cybersecurity skills and techniques.
🍺 The fellowship you’ll be joining:
You’ll join a team of ten individuals, six manual QA Analysts and four automation testers, who work across 4 different product streams of our portfolio. The manual QA Analyst will work closely with our Software Engineer in Test, UI/UX designers, Product Managers, and the development team.

🚀 The adventures that await you after becoming a QA Analyst at Hack The Box:
- Process product reviews and inform the development team of defects and errors
- Assess technical requirements
- Design, implement and maintain manual testing plans and test cases for products and features
- Generate reports and communicate quantitative and qualitative findings from tests
- Track defect resolution progress and perform retesting to ensure issues are resolved
- Ensure features deliver a consistent user experience and identify areas for product improvement
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement and release validation to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
- Investigate issues using browser developer tools, logs, and API responses to identify root causes
- Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing across web applications and APIs
🏆 Skills, knowledge, and experience points required to unlock the role of QA Analyst at Hack The Box:
- Experience in the analysis and design of information systems
- 2+ years of experience in QA/manual testing
- Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High regard for safety standards and quality control
- Excellent command of the English language (written & verbal)
- Experience testing web applications and REST APIs
- Ability to write clear and structured bug reports and test documentation
- Basic understanding of databases and ability to validate data using SQL queries
