Founded in 2010, we are a biotechnology research company working to develop and commercialize medicines for rare and ultrarare genetic conditions. Many of these conditions currently have no approved treatments, so we focus on bringing new therapies to patients.

Our clinical pipeline includes a range of treatments, such as a monoclonal antibody therapy for osteogenesis imperfecta. We have offices worldwide, including our headquarters in Novato, CA, and other U.S. locations in Somerville, Bedford, Woburn, and Brisbane, CA.

Internationally, our EMEA headquarters is in Basel, Switzerland, with offices in France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, and Spain. Our LATAM headquarters is in Miami, with offices in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico. We also have an office in Tokyo, Japan. We currently have between 1,001 and 5,000 employees.

We started Ultragenyx to develop innovative medicines for rare and ultrarare diseases that lack existing treatments. We are committed to doing what is right for patients, from development to commercialization, to provide meaningful therapies to these communities.
