Founded in 2011, we develop semiconductor chip-based ultrasound technology for medical equipment. Our products include the Butterfly iQ3, iQ+, and iQ whole-body ultrasound probes. These combine hardware, software, and AI-powered tools into a complete point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) solution. This solution features advanced AI, workflow management software, and a 3600 education suite.

We offer our solutions to individual practices, health systems, and for medical education. We also provide a software development kit (SDK), with C++ and Python SDKs available, for controlling and interfacing with our ultrasound imaging devices.

Over 145,000 customers worldwide use our POCUS devices. The Butterfly iQ3 received the Best Medical Technology award at the 2024 Prix Galien USA Awards. Through our Global Health program, we support over 400 partners in more than 70 countries, having distributed over 3000 probes to help develop sustainable healthcare in areas with limited resources.
