Job Description
Butterfly Network is seeking a dynamic, customer-focused Technical Account Executive to serve as a key ambassador for Compass AI, our innovative software platform designed to support clinicians through AI-powered ultrasound workflows and clinical decision support.
This role combines product expertise, clinical workflow understanding, relationship management, and consultative communication to support prospective and existing customers through live demonstrations, onsite visits, training, and product presentations. The ideal candidate is energized by frequent travel, engaging with healthcare professionals, and helping customers understand the value of AI-enabled ultrasound technology in real-world clinical environments.
You will work closely with Sales, Clinical, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams to drive customer engagement, product adoption, and revenue growth across health systems, physician practices, educational institutions, and point-of-care ultrasound programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging live and virtual demonstrations of Compass AI to prospective customers, clinical stakeholders, and existing Butterfly users.
- Travel approximately 60% of the time to hospitals, healthcare systems, conferences, customer sites, and industry events.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Compass AI workflows, features, integrations, and clinical applications.
- Partner closely with Sales Executives and Clinical Specialists during the sales process to support evaluations, discovery meetings, and product presentations.
- Conduct onsite customer onboarding, workflow education, and product training sessions.
- Support pilot programs, customer evaluations, and proof-of-concept implementations.
- Gather customer feedback, workflow insights, and competitive intelligence to inform Product and Leadership teams.
- Build trusted relationships with physicians, clinicians, administrators, educators, and operational leaders.
- Represent Butterfly Network professionally at conferences, trade shows, and customer-facing events.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve demo environments, training materials, and customer messaging.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in SaaS, healthcare technology, medical device support, solutions consulting, sales engineering, or customer-facing technology roles.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage both clinical and non-clinical audiences.
- Experience delivering software or technology demonstrations in both virtual and in-person environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Preferred
- Experience in healthcare technology, digital health, ultrasound, or point-of-care clinical environments.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled healthcare software platforms and clinical workflow tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise healthcare sales cycles and customer implementations.
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Clinical background or exposure to healthcare provider workflows is a plus.
- Experience working with hospitals, IDNs, physician groups, or medical education programs preferred.

Location
Butterfly offers a hybrid work model for most positions, with team members spending two or more days a week in the office. While flexibility is key, we value in-person connections that spark creativity and teamwork. This is a hybrid position and will be based out of our office in New York City, NY.

Compensation
Our estimated salary for this role based in NYC is between $150,000 - $160,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand.
For this role, we are only considering candidates who are legally authorized to work in the United States and who do not now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status.
