C++ Rendering Engineer
***This position is based in Germany with remote working options. Applicants must have a work/residence permit for the respective location.***
Main Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with team members and other development teams on the design, planning, and implementation of new rendering features.
Design, plan, and implement cutting-edge rendering algorithms using modern graphics APIs (primarily Vulkan).
Improve renderer performance through targeted profiling and low-level code/shader optimizations.
Maintain existing functionality, investigate and fix defects within the renderer codebase.
Having fun developing and implementing innovative solutions for complex challenges and problems independently as well as in a team
Requirements
Very good knowledge of general programming principles, data structures, algorithms, and advanced debugging techniques.
Proficiency in C++ software development and experience with shader languages (e.g. GLSL, HLSL).
Proficiency and practical experience with modern graphics APIs (e.g., Vulkan, Metal).
Familiarity with (Windows) C++ development environment and toolchains (e.g. git, VS, CMake)
Good understanding of current real-time rendering algorithms and techniques (e.g. PBR, global illumination, HWRT).
Working knowledge of GPU architecture and its impact on performance characteristics.
Familiarity with graphics development tools (e.g. graphics profilers, debuggers).
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Ideally, a degree in computer science.
Advantages:
MacOS/iOS development experience (XCode) is a plus
Working knowledge of continuous integration systems (e.g. gitLab, Azure Devops), build systems (e.g. CMake) is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to express complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
