Role:
SAP Financial Close and Consolidations Manager (Group Reporting & Intercompany)
Location:
- Clearsulting is headquartered in Cleveland, OH, with additional offices located in Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; and Dallas, TX. Other cities are also welcome remotely.
- Office Options: Hybrid or Remote. For team members residing within a 45-minute commuting radius of a Clearsulting office, we expect 8 days of in-person work per month, allowing flexibility in choosing these days to accommodate client meetings, team syncs, and individual schedules.
- Travel Requirements: 20-40%

What You’ll Do:
Delivery and Technical Leadership
Serve as the technical lead for SAP S/4HANA group reporting and intercompany matching & reconciliation (ICMR) engagements
Lead end-to-end solution design and implementation activities, including:
- Group Reporting configuration (consolidation units, FS items, data monitors, consolidation methods, currency translation, postings logic)
- ICMR configuration (matching rules, reconciliation scenarios, tolerance handling, workflow, and exception management)
Act as the primary escalation point for complex functional and technical issues across close and consolidation process
Ensure tight integration across FI, CO, Group Reporting, and ICMR, including data flow and reconciliation design
Project & Team Leadership
- Manage day-to-day project delivery for small to mid-sized engagements or lead workstreams on larger programs
- Coach and develop consultants through hands-on guidance, design reviews, and problem-solving support
- Partner with Project Managers to ensure scope, timeline, and quality expectations are met
Offering & Practice Development
Contribute to the build-out of Clearsulting’s SAP Group Reporting and ICMR offering by:
- Developing standards, templates, and delivery accelerators
- Defining best practices for close, consolidation, and intercompany processes
- Supporting internal enablement and knowledge-sharing efforts
Collaborate with SAP and partner teams to stay current on roadmap changes, best practices, and new functionality
Sales & Solution Support
- Support pre-sales activities by contributing to solution design, estimates, and client presentations
- Serve as a subject-matter expert in sales cycles, helping clients understand SAP Group Reporting and ICMR capabilities and trade-offs
- Transition seamlessly from sales support into delivery execution
What You’ll Bring:
Experience & Technical Depth
- 6-9 years of SAP Financial Close and Consolidation experience
- Strond hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting, with at least 2 full lifecycle implementations
- Solid experience with SAP Intercompany Matching & Reconciliation (ICMR), including configuration and operational design
- Strong understanding of S/4HANA Finance data structures and integration points (ACDOCA, Universal Journal)
- SAP certification in S/4 HANA Finance and/or Group Reporting
Consulting & Leadership Skills
- Proven experience leading workstreams or small project teams in a consulting environment
- Comfortable working directly with finance stakeholders (Controllership, Consolidation, Close teams)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate accounting requirements into system design
- Ability to balance hands-on delivery with mentoring junior team members
Nice to Haves:
- Exposure to SAP Advanced Financial Close (AFC) or related close automation tools
- Experience helping define or scale a consulting offering or practice area

The compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $156,000. We are committed to ensuring our offers reflect the value each candidate brings to the role. Final salary placement will be based on upon several factors, including, level of expertise, relevant work experience, technology certifications, educational background and alignment with industry standards. This role is eligible for our performance-based bonus program and standard benefits offerings.
