About the Role:
This role will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting, ensuring integrity of books, strong controls, and effective financial governance. The role acts as
a bridge between transactional accounting and financial reporting, supporting both statutory and management reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial audits, statutory audits, internal audits, and regulatory reporting requirements for multiple entities.
- Ensure balance sheet integrity through regular review and substantiation.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with agreed timelines.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS) and draft whitepapers on various technical accounting topics.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders including FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Business teams.
- Drive timely resolution of audit observations and control gaps.
- Ensure timely closure of open items and perform root-cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Maintain robust documentation for processes, controls, and accounting policies.
- Manage intercompany accounting, certain key reconciliations, and eliminations.
- Support group consolidation activities of multiple entities worldwide.
- Coordinate with global finance teams to ensure alignment and accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to standardize, simplify, and automate Record-to-Report processes.
- Support ERP upgrades or system migrations (e.g., NetSuite).
- Partner with upstream (P2P, O2C) teams to resolve data or process issues impacting financial reporting.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Record-to-Report and financial reporting processes.
- Solid accounting knowledge (India GAAP / US GAAP / IFRS).
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
- High attention to detail with ability to see the bigger picture.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Chartered Accountant / CPA.
- 8–10+ years of experience with public accounting, financial reporting, accounting, or controllership roles.
- Experience in technology, payments, financial services, or fintech preferred.
- Experience in multinational and multi-entity environments preferred.
- Exposure to audits and regulatory reporting.
