About Climate Power
We are a strategic communications organization focused on climate politics. Our work involves educating Americans about climate progress, showing how clean energy investments benefit local communities, and holding polluters accountable for air and water pollution. We use data to back our messages, supporting climate action and addressing the costs of the climate crisis.
We publish research, news, and polling, including press releases on utility rate increases, clean energy, the economy, electric vehicles, and jobs. We also run “Climate Power En Acción,” a project that engages Latino communities affected by climate change. We report on issues like rising household electric bills and job losses or stagnation in the clean energy sector.
Mission & Values
Our goal is to protect climate progress and build political will for future climate action. We help people understand how clean energy creates jobs, lowers family costs, reduces pollution, and leads to healthier communities with clean air and water.
We aim to hold executives and their allies accountable for their role in the climate crisis. We counter misinformation through online campaigns, media work, and community education.
Our core approach is to share the realities of climate change by telling personal stories of those experiencing extreme weather, advocating for clean air, and working towards an equitable future. We also present data-backed stories of progress, including new jobs, investments, and more accessible renewable energy.
We highlight the local impacts of climate progress, such as local hiring, lower energy bills, and cleaner air and water, and work to protect these advancements.
We are committed to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we are an equal opportunity employer.
