We are a multidisciplinary consulting firm founded in 1984, with 501-1000 staff members. We provide professional services to public and private clients. These include federal agencies like the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Park Service, and U.S. Department of Defense. We also work with state governments (e.g., Massachusetts, Arizona, New Mexico, Hawaii, Colorado, Nevada, Virginia), corporations, universities, and international organizations such as the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development.

Our service areas cover Climate Change, Digital and Information Solutions, Drinking Water Protection, Air Quality, Ecological Services, Economic and Policy Analysis, Energy, Environmental and Occupational Health, Facilities Planning and Engineering, Laboratory Services, Life Cycle Services, Mobile Sources, Organizational Effectiveness, Permitting, Compliance, and Enforcement, Public Health, Strategic Communications, Wastes and Toxics, and Water Quality and Resource Management. We help our clients protect the environment, improve worker health and safety, ensure the safety of food and drugs, plan sustainable facilities, and support national security efforts.

We address complex challenges like PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). Our expertise covers analytic tools, destruction and disposal guidance, exposure assessments, wastewater discharge reduction, drinking water regulation preparation, and sampling surface water and fish/shellfish tissue. We also work on water resource management, developing water reuse programs and water efficiency market transformation programs (like EPA’s WaterSense). This includes adaptable reservoir management, technical assistance for small communities, and water workforce support. We provide services in adaptation and resilience for natural resources and built environments, covering land use, transportation, coastal areas, natural lands, and agricultural lands through assessments and plan development.

We hold ISO 9001 certification for quality management, ISO/IEC 20000-1 for IT service management, and ISO/IEC 27001 for information security management. Our Digital and Information Solutions Group has achieved Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI-DEV) Maturity Level 3. We operate from multiple offices across the country, with our corporate headquarters in Concord, MA.
