CocuSocial, Inc. (YC S17)

CocuSocial, Inc., established in 2016 and backed by Y Combinator (S17), is a marketplace for culinary experiences across the United States. We enable independent chefs and restaurants to host a variety of culinary events. These include hands-on cooking classes, baking classes, wine tastings, and mixology classes.

We host events for private parties, corporate team building, and social gatherings. We operate in 20 major US cities, including New York City, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, and San Diego.

We grow by partnering with venues like hotels and restaurants, and by recruiting skilled chefs. Our process includes research, pitching, screening, and training our partners and instructors. We also work with partners to plan class topics and schedules, and we’re always looking for new opportunities to expand our culinary network.

We operate in a fast-paced startup environment. Our team is enthusiastic, smart, and passionate, and we collaborate closely. We support full-time remote work.

We offer a compensation package that includes an annual base salary, typically between $68,000 and $78,000, plus a performance bonus of up to 15% of the base salary. We provide health insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), and Health Savings Accounts (HSA). You get paid time off and can work full-time remotely. You also get unlimited access to our culinary experiences and team-building events.
