Job Description
This role is responsible for all Financial Operations & Control related matters within Middle East and stakeholder management with Middle East Partners.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure finance control framework within Middle East.
- Review Cardiff Finance Hub activity to ensure accuracy of month end results (P&L and Balance Sheet).
- Review Cardiff Finance Hub operational activity to ensure items are addressed in a timely way (e.g. vendor payments, credit control, etc).
- Regular review of balance sheets ensuring all balances are reconciled and substantiated.
- Stakeholder management with all Middle East Partners.
- Drive improvement in cash collection process within Middle East.
- Reporting to EMEA Financial Controller regularly on Middle East status, as well as promptly on any ad hoc issues.
- Ensuring regional alignment on policies’ application and conduct of processes, to drive transparency, reliability and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Ensuring that the Region complies with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements in a timely manner and to high standard.
- Oversee regional payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant payroll processing across Middle East jurisdictions in line with local labor laws, tax regulations and social security requirements.
- Providing oversight, support and advice on local and Group audits and investigations, assuring swiftness of actions.
- Provide input into group tax framework where required.
- Ensure compliance with all direct and indirect taxes, including timely and accurate completion of all tax returns and submissions.
- Contributing to new entities’ set up plans to creating optimal solutions.
- Tracking and preparedness for upcoming changes within financial compliance, driven by local laws as well as Group guidance.
- Oversee regional cashflow forecasts to ensure accuracy and optimization of intercompany transfers.
- Striving to always understand and respond to business’ needs, while remaining independent, objective and ethical.
- Providing commercial advice, alongside Business Partners, on pricing (including taxes) and financial performance .
- Support EMEA Financial Controller and Group Financial Controller on regional and global initiatives.
Who You Are:
Requirements
- Certified chartered accountant with significant, recent and relevant experience and expertise, including:
- Robust and efficient financial control policies and processes;
- Technical accounting and statutory reporting;
- Taxation - direct, indirect, domestic and international;
- Financial compliance in a complex and dynamic environment.
