About Cruise
We started Cruise in San Francisco in 2013 to develop self-driving vehicles. We build all-electric, zero-emission autonomous vehicles designed to operate completely on their own, navigating complex city environments without human input.
These vehicles aim to improve safety, reduce carbon emissions, help reshape urban spaces, and give people more freedom in how they travel, especially in dense areas.
We work in motor vehicle manufacturing, focusing on self-driving cars, robotics, AI, deep learning, machine learning, and automotive software. We have raised $10B from investors like General Motors, Honda, Microsoft, SoftBank, T. Rowe Price, and Walmart. Our partnerships with General Motors and Honda allow us to manufacture our self-driving vehicles at scale.
Mission & Values
Our mission is to use self-driving technology to make a positive impact. We want to help save lives, make cities better, cut carbon emissions, change how people use their time in transit, and give residents of dense urban areas more freedom to move around.
We believe autonomous vehicles can create a safer, less congested future.
Team & Culture
We started in San Francisco and also have offices in Seattle, Pasadena, Phoenix, and Munich. Our team has grown to over 1,600 people.
We foster a culture where employees feel they are making a global impact through our work on self-driving vehicles.
