Role Overview
The Workforce Planner is responsible for analysing, forecasting, and planning workforce supply and demand, and talent needs and gaps to ensure that an organization has the right people with the right skills to support its business objectives.
Schedule: Required to work AU business hours (Start Time 5:00AM)
Role Responsibility
The Workforce Planner is responsible for (but not limited to):
- Analysing, implementing and monitoring workforce planning initiatives to optimize and scale the evolving workforce and long-range plans
- Collaborating with business leaders, strategic planning, HR, Finance and other stakeholders across the company to review existing and future workforce needs and to ensure alignment with business objectives and financial goals
- Collecting, interpreting and evaluating workforce metrics to provide data driven insights for internal and external talent pool assessments, headcount reviews, forecasting and business scenario planning, reviews processes and monitors plan effectiveness.
- Takes reasonable care that their actions (or inactions) do not harm the Health and Safety of self or others. Reports all incidents, hazards or unsafe work practices as per Datacom policy.
Knowledge
- Technical knowledge of programming, system design, IT infrastructure and database concepts
- Strong understanding of business requirements and appreciation of both IT and business strategy
Experience
- 6+ yearsโ experience in IT.
- 2+ Experience in workforce planning and management
Technical Skills
- Ability to work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
- Assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
- Ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members within own area of expertise
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Blend of commercial, technical, and consulting skills
- Strong financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation, and project revenue
- Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, capacity plan, recruitment plan and performance requirement
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to forecast using different methodologies
- Strong ability to juggle the past, present, and future and recut plans as required
