Baytek International, a Datacor company, delivers mission-critical Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Quality Control (QC) software to leading oil refineries and chemical manufacturers. Our software plays a central role in helping these companies ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
About the Role
Baytek, a Datacor company, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Development group. This role will support the team in designing, executing, and maintaining manual and automated test cases, protocols, and frameworks to provide continuous coverage in every development lifecycle. The candidate should demonstrate experience and skill in data analysis and basic programming.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute thorough manual and/or automated quality tests before product launches.
- Identify, report, document, and track bugs and feature requests during software development.
- Use existing and future test frameworks to run test cases; compile results and analyze failures.
- Develop and/or utilize tools to import, process, visualize, and analyze raw process data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with coursework in computer science, engineering, or information technology, or a work history that demonstrates proficiency in software testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven skill scripting and debugging programs
- Working knowledge of data/database technologies (SQL)
- Basic knowledge of multiple languages, libraries and frameworks (TypeScript and JavaScript)
- Experience with WebDriver IO or Playwright
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills (this person will be working with team members based in Costa Rica and the US and must have verbal and written fluency in English)
