We founded Decentraland in 2017 as a social virtual world where users can connect, explore, and create. It’s a fully decentralized VR platform.

We develop tools and applications for creating 3D content, games, and applications. This involves virtual reality, dApp development, game design, cryptocurrencies, and 3D art. Our web dApps include the Marketplace, Events, Builder, and Account, as well as mobile and VR clients.

We also maintain a decentralized data infrastructure, using technologies like Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Meltano in an AWS environment. We use Metabase and Segment for data analysis. Our web and mobile clients are built with game engines like Bevy and Godot.

We focus on an open, community-built environment.

Our goal at Decentraland is to build a virtual world that grows beyond centralized control. We aim to push the boundaries in virtual reality, dApp development, game design, cryptocurrencies, and 3D art, all powered by decentralized computing and WebVR.

The Decentraland DAO is our governance hub, where community members can create and vote on proposals that define the metaverse’s future.

We are a team of 51-200 employees, working fully remotely with flexible hours across different time zones.

We provide 29 days of paid time off each year, plus paid sick leave and parental leave. Our compensation package includes a long-term incentive plan in MANA tokens, which vests over four years. You can also earn additional tokens based on annual performance reviews.

We give a stipend for remote work and wellness expenses, and we provide new equipment for your home office, including a laptop, monitor, and ergonomic chair. We also reimburse you for English or Spanish lessons and hold an annual team offsite.
