Alchemy

Founded in 2017, we help companies build scalable and reliable decentralized applications. We eliminate the need for in-house blockchain infrastructure, making it easy to integrate our solutions. We provide infrastructure, wallet, orchestration, data, and developer tools.

Our infrastructure, powered by Cortex, includes a Node RPC API for real-time data and rollups for launching custom chains, with 99.99% uptime. For wallets, we support both embedded (user-controlled) and server (developer-controlled) models. Our orchestration services facilitate gasless transactions, stablecoin payments, and DeFi activities like swapping, earning, and staking. Data tools include webhooks for push notifications, Portfolio APIs for transaction history, and Token APIs for real-time price data. Our developer tools, including APIs and SDKs, help you quickly deploy production-ready experiences.

We process over $150 billion in transactions annually and support over 100 million crypto users. We power 71% of top crypto applications and are used by projects like OpenSea, Circle, Aave, EigenLayer, LayerZero, Zerion, Lido, Visa, World, Stripe, Robinhood, and Uniswap.

Alchemy has between 51 and 200 employees, including engineers from places like Stanford, MIT, Google, Facebook, and Microsoft. Cofounders Nikil Viswanathan (CEO) and Joe Lau (CTO) are Stanford computer science graduates who previously worked at companies such as Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.

Alchemy’s investors include Charles Schwab, Coinbase, founders of LinkedIn and PayPal, and the Chairman of Google. Alchemy describes its culture as one of owners, dreamers, and doers. It’s a fast-paced environment where employees are encouraged to take ownership and embrace challenges.

Alchemy has offices in San Francisco and New York. Some roles require three days per week in the office, and Alchemy also has a presence in Bucharest.
