Role Overview
At DefineX, we are looking for a Principal Agenda Owner to lead and shape our Commercial Lending agenda across banking clients.
This role is designed for a domain expert who combines deep lending expertise with a product mindset, and who can drive the development of scalable, high-impact solutions across the credit lifecycle.
You will operate not only as a product owner, but as a builder and thought partner, defining the agenda, shaping solutions, and leading how we create value for our clients in the commercial lending space.
What You Will Do
- Own and shape DefineX’s Commercial Lending agenda across clients
- Take end-to-end ownership of the credit lifecycle (origination, underwriting, monitoring, restructuring, etc.) with a product mindset
- Design and develop AI-native use cases across the credit lifecycle, automated scoring, decision engines, early warning, restructuring triggers, portfolio monitoring
- Work closely with asset and delivery teams to translate domain knowledge into implementable solutions
- Lead domain-level discussions with clients, acting as a trusted expert in lending
- Contribute to building client-ready content and solution narratives that support commercial growth
- Drive structured thinking in ambiguous environments and create clarity where it does not exist
- Build and scale a team over time, shaping capability within the commercial lending domain
What You Bring
- 8+ years of experience with strong expertise in Commercial Lending
- Deep understanding of end-to-end credit lifecycle
- Strong ownership and builder mindset
- Confidence to engage with clients on domain depth
- Ability to shape content, solutions, and problem framing, even without direct sales ownership
- Experience within banking business units or product / credit functions
- Consulting background is a plus
How You Will Spend Your Time
- Domain depth & client engagement
Lead lending discussions with C-level executives and credit function leaders, shaping conversations through deep domain expertise
- Solution design & product framing
Define use cases, solution frameworks, and AI-native offerings across the credit lifecycle
- Capability building
Hire, develop, and scale the commercial lending capability and team over time
